Macroalgae (seaweeds) expertise

Centre d’Etude et de Valorisation des Algues (CEVA) is a private research organisation dedicated to the study and promotion of algae. Owing to its expertise in the biology of seaweeds and the processes of cultivation, harvesting and treatment of this raw material, CEVA is contributing to EnAlgae in the development and exchange of best practice for the exploitation of seaweeds. CEVA has set up three sea sites in France for the large-scale cultivation of kelp species. Performance data and abiotic factors will be collected in a standardised manner and shared across the partnership. CEVA will also run demonstration events aimed at the general public.
